Claricia Gautier and Pedro De Los Santos
Greetings! Pedro and Claricia here with Leading Kids to Christ the King Ministry. We are a husband-and-wife team, married for 2.5 years. After retiring from the US military, I (Claricia) had a hunger to do something that I have always wanted to do, which was missionary work. As a result, I decided to move to the Dominican Republic to be with my husband temporarily. It is here that I began to see the need for missionaries, but specifically to care for kids in hard-to-reach and underdeveloped areas. As you may already know, the enemy is busy destroying the homes, especially our children. Therefore, it is up to us to teach the next generation the word of God, guide them and care for their needs.
Pedro and I work well together, and we love sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. My husband has been a Deacon and teacher in his church for over 10 years. He has a degree in Economics and is currently employed under the Dominican education ministry and is aware of the economic factors that affect our youth today. On the other hand, having a master’s degree in public administration from Liberty University was essential in giving me the tools necessary to understand community economic development, and the initiatives needed to care for these impoverished regions. I also acknowledge my time in the military for teaching me discipline and hard work. In addition, I am truly grateful for my home church (Riverview Baptist Church) in Northern, VA for the guidance, leadership and support in this ministry. Nevertheless, our greatest tool is standing on the word of God and teaching these kids how to have a personal relationship with Jesus. He deserves all the credit, honor, glory and praise!
Thank you for reading and please pray for this ministry, the children that we encounter and all those who support us. We are a very small ministry but our God works wonders no matter the size! May God bless you all.
